Juan Williams from Foxnews has written a thoughtful editorial on race in America.
Mr. Williams acknowledges that race discrimination has improved, but is still real. For racial discrimination, he points to blacks receiving less wages, lower employment opportunities, higher unemployment, more poverty, higher incarceration and lower life expectancy.
On the other hand, to show racial improvement, Mr. Williams points to desegregated sports, popular television shows like Oprah and the Cosby Show, as well as two black United States Supreme Court Justices along with, of course, the first black president who was twice-elected.
